TROCPLANT of 26 April 2025

Last Saturday, 26 April, our traditional TROCPLANT was held under the best of auspices.
Even the stars were on our side: the forecast rain finally gave way in the face of our determination... and our three barnums proudly deployed!

In the morning, a great team of volunteers, as devoted as ever, got down to setting up marquees, tables and a picnic area.
The latter, improvised from shuttering boards and bales of straw, provided a truly convivial area, all the more so as Jean-Claude had brought a generous helping of gâche vendéenne, while Laurent and Catherine had concocted a tasty brioche accompanied by homemade mulberry jam.

Visitors arrived in dribs and drabs at first, but the flow continued to increase, gradually filling the space with exchanges and smiles.
The discussions were lively, with plant exchanges of course, but also the sharing of gardening tips, tricks and experiences.

Everyone's expertise really blossomed as the meetings went on!

And to round off the welcome, a hot cup of coffee was offered free of charge by Rosemarie, who is on duty at the platform, assisted by none other than our Chairwoman, Annick.

TROCPLANT is based on the exchange of plants between amateur gardeners. But we're aware that not everyone has the time or the means to grow their own plants, so we've made it possible to make a small donation.
Thanks to everyone's generosity, the fund has grown by €59.50 this year.
These sums are invaluable for funding projects such as laying a slab for the bus shelter in the children's garden or buying stakes for the young fruit trees along our fence.

A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers, without whom none of this would be possible.
Your energy, enthusiasm and commitment make it possible for these wonderful initiatives to see the light of day and survive.

Finally, did you know that we have also set up our  Online seeds Troc ?
Easy to use, you can suggest or search for seeds available in our community.

A short diversions through this tool could well spark new passions!

See you soon for more sharing, on the platform, in the garden... or online!

⚠️ Windrow Alert

Is the windrow not heating up? The most likely cause is a lack of carbon. Wood chips are essential to balance the nitrogen-rich food scraps. Please always respect:1 part caddy waste  +  3 parts wood chips
