🌱 A local association committed to composting

Compostons ensemble à Grosbreuil is a community-based association dedicated to collective composting, organic waste reduction, and environmental awareness, in the heart of the village of Grosbreuil, France.

Our goal is simple:
👉 to make composting accessible to everyone, beneficial for the environment and a source of social connection.

♻️ Composting: a practical local action

Every household produces organic waste that can be reused locally instead of being transported and treated as residual waste.

Composting helps to:

  • reduce household waste,

  • produce natural compost for gardens,

  • better understand the organic matter cycle,

  • take concrete action for the environment at a local level.

🤝 An association driven by volunteers

The association relies on the commitment of volunteers living in Grosbreuil and nearby areas.
They ensure the daily operation of the collective composting site, run composting sessions and support users.

👉 Volunteers are the heart of the project.

📍 Strong local roots

Most of our actions take place in Grosbreuil, in close connection with residents, schools and local initiatives.

We focus on:

  • proximity,

  • education,

  • sharing,

  • friendliness.

Composting becomes not only an environmental tool, but also a place for meeting and exchange.

🌾 Sharing knowledge and raising awareness

Beyond composting, the association promotes:

  • environmental education,

  • sharing good practices,

  • seed exchanges,

  • educational activities for children and adults.

Our approach is positive, inclusive and community-driven.
