Wanted: dove in distress seeks cat sanctuary

🌿 Urgent: Rescue mission for a Nonchalant Dove !
The SOS arrived in our inbox this morning from our dear Alain (who we now suspect has a heart softer than his ripe compost). Here's his message:

"Hello Eric,
Could you pass on: we have a dove, not wild, which has taken up residence in our garden; we are afraid that our cat, and the neighbours' cats, will attack it.
Could someone come and get it to keep it safe?
Thank you in advance.

Yes, in the land of selective sorting, a peaceful dove has taken up residence in Alain's garden. Rather than deliver a message of peace, it settled down for a break... probably uninformed about feline predation rates in the neighbourhood.

🔍 Summary of the case :

  • Name of the bird: Fearless dove (but no GPS either)
  • Status: Very relaxed, a little too confident around cats
  • Location of the squat : Alain's garden, a land that's half friendly, half pussycat
  • Danger level : 5 croquettes out of 5
  • Desired solution : A kind soul for adoption, relocation or a "pigeon spa" mission

So, friends of the living, if you're more of a "host cage" than a "feather hunter", let Alain or the association know. You'll earn our eternal gratitude, that of a dove a little lost, and maybe an autograph on a wing.

Wounded or lost dove
A dove in distress, or with its head in the clouds... but its paws in the feline line of sight.

PS : Yes, it's a real photo. No, no cat was consulted for this article.

PPS : Thank you Alain for this poetic... and almost biblical moment.

⚠️ Windrow Alert

Is the windrow not heating up? The most likely cause is a lack of carbon. Wood chips are essential to balance the nitrogen-rich food scraps. Please always respect:1 part caddy waste  +  3 parts wood chips
