Join the Wednesday team at the Grosbreuil composting facility!

OuvertureMercredi

Dear composting friends from Grosbreuil,

Do you like to look after the planet and have a good time at the same time?
Well, have you heard about our wonderful composting platform?
If you're already a member, you'll know how important our work is in reducing waste and nourishing our soil.

But now we need your help more than ever!

From 3 April 2024, we will be opening our platform for an extra morning every Wednesday, from 10am to midday.
This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden our impact and welcome even more environmentally conscious people into our community.

At present, a dynamic team of around twenty volunteers takes it in turns every Saturday to be on duty.
But let's be honest, our compost bins are overflowing with love and rubbish,

and we need more hands to do the job!

That's where you come in, dear friends.

We invite you to join our Wednesday team.

With your enthusiastic neighbours, share your knowledge of composting, and above all, contribute to a more sustainable future for our beautiful planet.

We understand that taking up permanent residence for the first time can be intimidating, but don't worry!

All members signing up for the first time will of course be accompanied by experienced members of our team. You'll be in safe hands!

So, what do you think?
Are you ready to join our merry band of volunteer composters?
If so, let us know as soon as possible so that we can include you in the schedule.

Note that you can already sign up for a shift on the website, as soon as you have logged in with your login and password.:Registration for Duty

Together, we can make Grosbreuil an even greener, more welcoming place for everyone. Join us for a composting adventure on Wednesday mornings!

See you soon in the compost heaps!

⚠️ Windrow Alert

Is the windrow not heating up? The most likely cause is a lack of carbon. Wood chips are essential to balance the nitrogen-rich food scraps. Please always respect:1 part caddy waste  +  3 parts wood chips

💡 Did You Know?

Adding dry material (leaves, wood chips) prevents gnats.
