Time to plant potatoes, leeks and beetroot! The children have made their mark in the garden.

Nursery pupils at the Rivière aux Enfants public school will be able to take advantage of the vegetable garden set up by the Compostons ensemble association in Grosbreuil, on the site of the composting platform.
‘This year, the focus is on planting crops that can be harvested until autumn,’ explain the teachers.
On Wednesday morning, the children went to the compost platform to prepare the plots that will be used to grow leeks, pumpkins, carrots, onions, beetroot and cabbage.
‘Our educational projects, which focus on discovering the world and observing nature, will be expanded through cooking, harvesting, composting, sowing, collecting seeds and observing the insects that we will discover throughout our gardening work.
We'll be doing a new piece of work every month,’ explain Corinne Galibert, the teacher responsible for the younger sections, and Christelle Langevin, who teaches the middle and older sections.
During the school year, the teachers filmed a number of sessions with the pupils.
This work was presented last weekend at the Tous dans l'même bateau festival at Les Atlantes in Les Sables-d'Olonne.
